Cashback Halloween
By Samuel, 28 October 2024
The last few weeks have brought a host of cashback campaigns, with two major ones expiring on October 31st—a nice Halloween treat. Here are the highlights:
Ventus Energy Cashback Campaign
Ventus Energy* offers an investment campaign that comes out at an effective interest rate of 32.58% – through cashback bonuses, high interest rates and early exits. Here is how that works:
- Cashback: 5%, plus an additional 1% for signing up via an affiliate link* – that’s 6% on top of your investment that might only need to run 6 months.
- Details: Loans offer 18% interest, with a potential exit option after six months (exit fee details still pending). Lars did an interview with the CEO in German, but no luck on exit fee clarity.
- Risk and Returns: Ventus loans are ‘subordinated’ debt, so exceptionally high risk. However, an 18% loan paired with an instant cashback bonus of 6% and an early sell after 6 months get you a calculated annual return of 32.58%, making it worth a second look. For instance, if you invest EUR 10,000 and exit at the optimal time, you’d earn EUR 11,514 in six months—over EUR 250 per month.
Debitum Investments Cashback Offer
Debitum* offers a similar play for a return of 19.53% for less risk:
- Cashback: Up to 6.25% for EUR 4,000 (scales to 5% max for EUR 40,000 investments).
- Details: Loans range from 13% to 14%, with shorter terms at lower rates (e.g. 12.5%) available for those seeking early exits. No secondary market here, so shorter loans offer flexibility.
- Risk and Returns: Loans back small companies with credit lines – generally less risky than subordinated debt. A 12.5% one-year loan paired with 6.25% cashback boosts the effective rate to 19.53%.
While risk is hard to quantity, I’d say between the two, Debitum seems the better deal.
Both of these end this month, so if you’re interested, act fast by signing up with Debitum Investments* and/or Ventus Energy*.
I’ve also put together a Cashback Overview with these and other offers, which I’ll keep updated. If you spot a promotion we’re missing, let me know—I’ll happily add it (and even use your referral link).
And Remember: Don’t get greedy. Consider the risks, and note this is not financial advice. I get paid a commission (at no cost to you) if you sign up for either of the two offers. So make sure to also do your own research.
